The Handmaid's Tale (2017-2022)

Based on Margaret Atwood's immensely popular 1985 novel, The Handmaid's Tale was the first streaming show to ever win the Emmy for "Outstanding Drama Series" which was quite the feather in Hulu's Victorian Bonnet cap. Debuting in 2017, the show takes place in a future America where an ultra-religious coup has taken over the U.S. amidst a fertility crisis and reshaped the government into a theocracy known as Gilead. All the woman who are capable of bearing children are given to the state as "handmaids" who are forced to birth kids for high-ranking men and their wives. It's a very oppressive, traditionalist culture that has these women wearing bonnets and long red dresses before opening their legs for whoever the government tells them to. Our protagonist is June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss), a divorced woman who is torn away from her child and renamed Offred as she now is forced to bear the children of Commander Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes). Through Offred we see various resistance movements, watch her do whatever she can to get her child back, see gay characters (Alexis Bledel) punished for their transgressions, and see the lucky few who managed to flee to Canada like Offred's former husband Luke (O-T Fagbenle) do whatever they can to help their loved ones trapped in Gilead. A show about religious psychos forcing everyone to follow their pious laws under the penalty of death might not seem like one that's going to have a lot of sexy scenes in it, but you've gotta hand it to the show writers, they found a way. In a flashback to the good times, we get to see O-T Fagbenle shirtless as he does some babymaking the old school way with Elisabeth Moss. Blessed be the Fruit of the Looms hiding that man's junk! Joseph Fiennes flashes a little CGI cock when his character is slaughtered by a bunch of pissed off Handmaid's and his body ends up looking fab on the slab. But the dudee you'd put a French maid outfit on for is Max Minghella, who looked hella hot when Fred's driver had all sorts of sex with Elisabeth Moss, even though he's not supposed to! You'll be making it with your hand to the hot pieces of tail in The Handmaid's Tale!
