The Senator is a Brazilian gay flick about the tangled web we weave when we bang a closeted right-wing politician. This is the predicament that Renan (Johnny Alcântara) finds himself in when he hooks up with the hot bearded senator Arthur (Sérgio Harger). Their relationship is destined to fail as Arthur wants to keep things on the DL. Renan has mixed feelings about being a side piece for someone pushing the anti-gay agenda, so he isn't too torn up when a journalist wants to expose Arthur for the fraud that he is.
