The Shrouds (2025)

The Shrouds finds body horror director David Cronenberg in fine form, spinning a yarn about a world in which people can remain connected with the deceased by monitoring their corpses using a special new technology. Like the body horror maestro's best projects, in The Shrouds, David's characters connect us to deeper psychological meanings. In particular, Cronenberg explores his own grief after losing his wife in 2017. There's a lot of sadness, and a lot of gore, but there's also a good deal of nudity! French nudity enthusiast Vincent Cassel is aging like a fine wine, and shows his booty during a sex scene with Diane Kruger. We've seen Vincent's cock and butt before, but this is a play to those French daddy fans out there now that Vincent is deep into his fifties. This movie is a real shroud-pleaser!
