The Submarine Kid (2016)

The Submarine Kid is a drama that offers unflinching insight into the horrors of PTSD. The hunky Finn Wittrock stars as a Marine named Spencer who comes back from war shaken and stirred. He has survived unspeakable violence, and that very same violence now follows him everywhere he goes. Spencer demonstrated destructive behavior and becomes violent with the people around him. But a woman named Alice is able to comfort him, and the two even form a romantic relationship. However, things take a dive when Spencer drives the car off the road and into a lake, killing Alice. For the rest of the movie, the increasingly unstable Spencer plays a dangerous game with himself - he attempts to hold his breath longer and longer underwater, because when it does so, he feels close to Alice. His friends and family become increasingly worried about his self-destructive behavior, and they worry that eventually he will drown himself in his pursuit of reuniting with Alice. This tearjerker isn't for the faint of heart, but it is for the faint of hard on! Finn Wittrock is one of the sexiest actors in Hollywood, and before he got the Ryan Murphy treatment in shows like American Horror Story and Ratched, he showed off his shredded smooth jock bod in The Submarine Kid.
