This might date us, but we know what When the Streetlights Go On means in real life... That means you got your ass back home after playing outside all day because if you didn't, there was going to be hell to pay and you might end up getting your Nintendo taken away. So, that is a very fitting title for this teenage murder mystery brought to us as a short format series through Quibi, that takes place in the summer of 1995. A small town is rocked by a double homicide and the local teens are not only taken aback by the death of a friend and local hottie Chrissy Monroe (Kristine Froseth), but they begin to point fingers at anyone in town and everything that could have transpired on that fateful night. So buckle up and get ready to dip your toes in some 90s nostalgia with this short format series that comes in with a tight runtime of 8 minutes an episode, per Quibi's whole ideology on TV series. We get an insightful look at not only a teenage series, but also the insidious nature of violence that befalls a community that has a potential history of hiding violence anyway, just like the real suburbs! So, when those streetlights go on, race home on your bike because anyone could be a killer and you could be next... We don't get any real nudity in this one as of yet but the ever sexy indie flick icon Mark Duplass gets down to his 90s daddy boxers before catching a bullet in this one. Also, with an A-list cast, this series is definitely proving to be a flagship for Quibi and definitely draws in your attention.
