Where We Go from Here (2019)

Where Do We Go from Here? (1945) is a musical comedy starring Fred MacMurray. Where We Go from Here (2019) is not. This drama follows three separate stories that are linked by the common theme of tragedy. Each centers around an act of terror that disrupts the lives of regular folks across the world. In New York, an English teacher deals with abuse both at home and at work, while in Florida, a couple (Olivia Taylor Dudley and Zak Steiner) watches their love turn to hate. Over in France, friends get caught up in a chaotic night of craziness with deathly circumstances. In fact, the latter tale is based on the French film Boulevard Voltaire (2017) which relays the events of Islamist terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday the 13th in November 2015. Despite the heavy subject matter, this movie tastefully juxtaposes sorrow and humor thanks to several characters, including Adele (Camille De Pazzis), Daniel (Raphael Desprez), Mathilde (Justine Wachsberger), and Ricky (Anthony Meindl, who also serves as the pic’s screenwriter and director). Yes, the multitalented filmmaker shows off his range — among other things — when he appears naked in the shower! If that’s not erotic enough, the nude dude flexes his muscular body in bed before Raul (Mat Pascua) and he begin having sex. Between the two of them, we are treated to views of their collective abs, buns and junk! Even though things look bleak for the various people on screen, you may find yourself experiencing a happy ending!
