100 Streets (2016)

In between the releases of 100 Rifles (1969), 100 Girls (2000) and 100 Things (2018), fans of British flicks flocked to 100 Streets (2016) directed by Jim O’Hanlon. Nominated for Movie of the Year at the Diversity in Media Awards, the “we’re all connected” drama intertwines three separate storylines that take place within a square mile of each other in London. All of the characters have lost their way in one capacity or another and are looking for a path to put their lives back in order. In one story, a fading star named Terence (Ken Stott) inspires petty criminal Kingsley (Franz Drameh) to stop dealing drugs. In another, cab driver George (Charlie Creed-Miles) is looking to adopt a child so he can start a family with his wife Kathy (Kierston Wareing). But our favorite tale showcases the tail on Idris Elba! As Max, the ebony eyeful has replaced his rugby career with dope while hoping to make things work with his estranged wife Emily (Gemma Arterton). As such, we are treated to a view of the swarthy stud’s bare back and nude booty just 25 minutes into the movie. That’s when Idris makes love to his leading lady in bed. Needless to say, he puts the motion into this motion picture! The indie pic brings up a lot of questions like what is the effect people have on each other? We’re not sure of the answer but we do know why Mr. Man crossed 100 Streets? To see Mr. Elba’s side!
