Lipstikka (2011)

Former Schindler's List (1993) star turned Israeli film director Jonathan Sagall must not have been afraid of blowback when he crafted the emotional thriller Lipstikka (2011), because he makes some very brave choices in the flick. Set in London, the film follows Lara (Clara Khoury), a Palestinian woman who has carefully avoided the dark side of her youth spent in Ramallah and her relationship with her childhood friend Inam (Nataly Attiya). Fast-forward thirteen years and Lara has a husband, Michael (Daniel Caltagirone) as well as a young son, and they’re comfortably nestled in the suburbs. Lara’s life gets rocked when she meets up with Inam and the two of them discuss the prank they pulled as teenagers that set off a twisted set of occurrences and events. It seems like each woman has a slightly different interpretation of what occurred that fateful night, leading to an unforgettable reunion between the one-time friends. The one thing both can agree on is that an Israeli soldier did disgusting things to them, and that one incident has created the broken adults both see before them. Sagall's decision to make an Israeli soldier the bad guy and two Palestinian women his protagonists caused some controversy, but Sagall wasn't concerned about that when he made his film. Credit to him for sticking with his original vision. Now, Lipstikka isn’t a complete downer. The handsome Gal Lev goes fully nude, showing butt, peen and balls as he bangs a chick. Sexy! Betcha he's got more than a few gal-pals trying to spend the night with him! Meanwhile, Daniel Caltagirone adds a dash of his manly physique as he exits the shower and takes care of his grooming. These two dudes will have you pranking yourself! We'd love to spend a night making our lips sticky with the stars of Lipstikka!
