Mandatory military service always seems like a good idea until you meet the sullen soldiers solely there because they're forced to be. Set in a remote desert military base around 2003, the dark Israeli comedy Zero Motivation (2014) follows best friends Daffi (Nelly Tagar) and Zohar (Dana Ivgy), two chicks fulfilling their mandatory military service with the Israeli Defense Force. But these ladies aren't intense soldiers training to kill bad guys. They're office workers mostly motivated to avoid their mundane daily duties of shredding personal documents and serving coffee by playing Minesweeper on the computers, wielding staple guns as pretend weapons, whining about how much they don't want to be there, and singing pop songs rather poorly. Daffi is obsessed with trying to get transferred to Tel Aviv, where she thinks life would be less dreary. She thinks that's about to happen when the suicide of a lovesick girl (Yonit Tobi) Daffi thought was her replacement but was actually pretending to be a soldier to sneak onto the base and hang out with her boyfriend, kills that concept. Throw in an unfortunate run-in with an insensitive paratrooper and the annoying presence of a Russian blonde (Tamara Kilingon) that doesn’t share in the girls’ slacker-attitude and eventually the ladies will be forced to think of their entire situation in a new way. No, they'll never become elite soldiers, but maybe they'll try a bit harder to help Israel after all. You’ll view the film differently when you get a gander of a fully nude Elad Smama getting caught in the middle of banging a chick. Zero chance you didn't love seeing that real nice look at his Israeli cock! That should give you a lot of motivation towards masturbation!
