Asteroid City (2023)

Asteroid City (2023) is the eleventh feature film from acclaimed director Wes Anderson, who turns his twee and fastidious eye on the American southwest circa 1955. The framework for this flick involves a play within the film telling the story of a Junior Stargazer convention in the titular retro-futuristic town somewhere in Arizona or Nevada. An eclectic group of people descend upon the town just as an alien spacecraft is spotted, leading to the military quarantining the entire town. All manner of very mannered hijinks ensue. 

In the film's framing device, a famous playwright (Edward Norton) and the lead actor (Jason Schwartzman) share a passionate gay kiss once they are away from the dramatized events depicted in the film. It's shot from a distance and both men are fully clothed, but it's arguably the hottest scene in any Wes Anderson movie!
