Basket Case (1982)

He’s not a heavy monster; he’s my detached Siamese twin brother. Yes, there is a unique bond between brothers, but none as unique as the one in Basket Case (1982). Duane (Kevin Van Hentenryck) carries his monstrously deformed, clawed brother with him in a basket after they are separated at a young age, much to the chagrin of basket boy. The two communicate telepathically, and every once in a while, Duane lobs some burgers into the basket to keep his twin from going berserk. But Duane finds a girlfriend in NYC girl Sharon (Terri Susan Smith), which really pisses Belal, the boy in the basket, off. Suddenly, he starts murdering everyone in Duane's life and trying to spend some sexy time with Sharon, whether she's into it or not. Since brotherly love can only go so far, Duane accepts that him and Belal can no longer coexist. But Belal's not going down without a fight. Soon enough Duane and Belal are battling in a fight to the death! A cheap B movie that became a cult hit and even inspired a few sequels, while low budget horror films usually confine their nudity to topless young women tripping in the woods or wayward teenagers being punished for their post pubescent grindings, the unusual plot also gives us an unusual nude scene. Late in the film, during an odd dream scene, Van Hentenryck is seen running through the streets fully naked. While his full-frontal fun stick might not be enough to fill a twin toting basket, it does take our minds and eyes off the ghastly, and let’s us focus on the fleshy. Better watch that scene a few more times, just in case! Bask in the glow of a dude you wanna blow going full frontal in Basket Case!
