Deadly Dreams (1988)

The directorial debut of Kristine Peterson, Deadly Dreams (1988) is a frightening psychological thriller about a young man haunted by the murder of his parents who starts to think their killer might have come back for more. Alex (Mitchell Anderson) and his brother Jack (Xander Berkeley) are forced to watch his parent's business partner Norman Perkins (Duane Whitaker) kill their parents while wearing a creepy fox mask. He doesn't kill them, but kills himself, which is why it's so odd Alex is constantly having nightmares about him ten years later. Alex is now a college kid and Jack's running the family business, but when Alex's nightmares start blending into real life, he struggles to stay up to date on his schoolwork. He becomes convinced his girlfriend Maggie (Juliette Cummins) or his best buddy Danny (Thom Babbes) must be playing tricks on him, while Jack just keeps pressuring Alex to sign his half of the family business to him. Alex might be going nuts, or he might just be the victim of a nasty, greed-influenced scheme. Either way, Xander Berkeley's body is the real dream that'll make you cream!
