You may lose your head while watching Bullhead (2011). Also known as Rundskop, this Belgium flick features dialogue in Dutch, French and Limburgish. Yet whenever manly Matthias Schoenaerts appears on screen, you won’t want to divert your eyes with subtitles. Luckily, the multilingual star is fluent in the universal language of lust! Under the pen and direction of Michaël R. Roskam, the foreign film is a fictional account loosely based on the real life murder case of government livestock inspector Karel van Noppen in 1995. As such, this crime drama centers around a steroid-using cattle farmer named Jacky Vanmarsenille who is convinced by a conniving veterinarian to make a deal with a shady beef trader. Film critic Roger Ebert was impressed with the lead performance, writing “Flemish actor Matthias Schoenaerts, who bulked up for the role (without steroids), seems ready to burst from his clothes and even his skin.” We want Matt to stay in his body, but bursting out of his clothing is fine by us — especially when he flashes his abs, ass and shaft at the 4-minute mark! No wonder, Mr. Schoenaerts won Best Actor at the AFI Fest, the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Ostend Film Festival. No doubt voters were impressed by his visceral performance and gorgeous screen presence. Speaking of, the movie also shows the handsome hunk baring his buns as he injects himself with steroids. Of course, Mr. Man would love to stick something in that butt — and it’s not a needle!
