Mood Indigo (2013)

Based on Boris Vian’s 1947 novel “Froth on the Daydream”, Michel Gondry’s surreal romantic drama Mood Indigo (2013) follows Colin (Romain Duris), a wealthy, Paris-based bachelor who dabbles in the bizarre, marked by his invention of the “pianococktail”, a piano that doubles as a cocktail maker. Besides developing a musical alcohol dispenser, Colin also enjoys eating extravagant dishes prepared by his trusty chef Nicolas (Omar Sy). But when Colin finds out that his best bud, and fellow follower of the philosopher Jean-Sol Parte aka Jean-Paul Sarte, Chick (Gad Elmaleh) has a new American girlfriend, he attends a party in hopes of finding himself a gal. Soon enough, the lovelorn dude crosses paths with Chloé (Audrey Tautou) and the two get lost in a thrilling romance. But the whimsical couple soon faces a substantial roadblock to their happiness when Chloé is stricken with an unusual ailment that sparks a flower to grow in her lungs. Driven by his inventive and quirky mind, Colin discovers that to save his new love he must surround her with a never-ending supply of fresh flowers. Though the frantic film is more full of whimsy than skin, Romain Duris manages to tease a brief shot of his cock, along with a big ol’ patch of pubic hair, as he rushes to cover his privates with his hands.
