Christmas Survival (2018)

We all know that Christmas was more magical when you were a kid, without question!  You get older, you start realizing that Santy Clause is really just your parents, then you get even older and realize you have to buy presents for others... Then you get REALLY older and start realizing you not only have to buy presents, but you have to buy them for family members that you borderline hate, and not only that... Spend time with them!  It's Christmas Survival, for real.  For two sisters who don't mince words with each other, it's time to endure one another for another festive holiday season with each other's families.  This year is a bit different though as Miranda (Gemma Whelan) and her hubby are trying to take over their recently deceased parents estate in the country.  For these city-ots, the country estate is fall apart around them and they don't want to admit they can't handle Christmas without incident.  Especially when Lyla (Joely Richardson), the fading actress sister and her horrible husband arrive and all those old feelings and things left unsaid start boiling over the surface.  There isn't enough eggnog in merry old England to turn this into the Dickensian Christmas you hear about in the UK.  Along the way though, the sexy and sultry Polish handyman played by Danny Griffin decides the best way to test the failing water pressure in the old estate is to strip down and have a shower, but it's just when party guests arrive and walk in on a hunky in a hot shower, lucky for us we get to see some of that skin behind the steamy glass as well!
