Of course the most logical thing to do when you get out of the old Juvenile detention center for a violent crime is to move to a small farming community to pawn yourself off as a priest...  Or at least that's what our lead does in this Academy Award nominee for best international feature out of Poland, Corpus Christi, that wowed critics all over the world.  As Daniel (Bartosz Bielenia) is on the verge of release of prison at 20 years old, he bounces between his shockingly violent past and what appears to be a true sense of godliness with his wide eyed and optimistic belief in salvation, both his own and the others around him.  When he talks to the Juvie priest, he learns that his criminal record means he can never join the priesthood and he thinks the future only holds a shit job at a sawmill or something.  While, like any man who just got out of the joint, he loosens up his godliness a bit for a good time at the club and to jump at the first women who will have him.  He also sees the bleak future of his sawmill job and decides to walk away the same day and into a small town that has suffered from some serious tragedy as their new "priest" with a series of well timed lies and charm.  As the town begins to love their new young and energetic priest, the church has a revival of attendees and he becomes an unlikely hero and comforting leader to the locals.  Is he really a spiritual hero or he still just trying to run away???  We're not sure, but we do know that the impressive Bartosz Bielenia has a godly bumper on that body of his and shows it off on a couple of occasions, and we definitely love the bad boy priest fantasy he's putting out with those piercing eyes of his throughout this one!
