Floating Skyscrapers (2013)

The Polish romantic drama Plynace Wiezowce (2013), or Floating Skyscrapers, follows a young man named Kuba (Mateusz Banasiuk) who has finally come to terms with the fact that he is a homosexual, at the worst possible time. Kuba is a supposedly straight swimmer who totally isn't gay but spends his time leering at the other dudes in the shower and letting random men blow him every once in a while. He lives with his girlfriend Sylwia (Marta Nieradkiewicz), who is absolutely ecstatic when she takes him to an art museum, and he really bonds with a man he meets there named Michal (Bartosz Gelner). No, he's not just learning to appreciate art like she thinks, he's learning the art of man on man! Kuba fully embraces his true self and starts a relationship with Michal that brings him infinitely more satisfaction than he had with Sylwia! But when he tells her the truth, Sylwia gets super clingy and assures him their relationship can still work. Why? Because she's pregnant with his baby. Ooph. Terrible timing. Just when he'd come to embrace his sexuality he's stuck at a crossroads: is he gonna play it straight for the kid or live life as a gay man? The film delivers on everything you'd expect from a European film, giving us plenty of fully nude men to ogle! Mateusz Banasiuk shows his meat and potatoes a bunch early on while he's still with Sylwia, whether he's doing her or just hanging out with her in the bathtub. That sure floats our boat! But once his relationship starts with Bartosz Gelner, we only get buns from both guys! On top of seeing those two doing it, we get a giant shower scene with plenty of hot swimmer bods baring their booties! With all that action, Floating Skyscrapers will have you floating on Cloud 9!
