Dead Calm (1989)

Still waters run deep in Dead Calm (1989), not to be confused with Deadpool (2016). Based on the same-named novel by Charles Williams, this Australian flick stars American hottie Billy Zane, New Zealander Sam Neill, and saucy Aussie Nicole Kidman. The plot revolves around Navy officer Captain John Ingram (Neill) and his young wife Rae (Kidman). While trying to recover from the loss of their son, the couple sets sail in the Pacific Ocean. Too bad they rescue Hughie Warriner (Zane) from a sinking ship since the handsome hunk turns out to be a super psycho who takes over their sailboat. As such, a tense cat and mouse game ensues as Rae fights for survival. But since Mr. Zane is so handsome, it’s hard to know who to root for — emphasis on “hard” and “root”! In other words, Mr. Man’s root gets hard when Billy bares his back and buns while banging away on the boat. Fast forward to the 01:00:39 mark to see the skintastic stud’s sweaty pecs as he lies on the floor with Ms. Kidman riding him. Once it’s his turn to be on top, we get to ogle the actor’s rump during the hump. Suffice it to say, “don’t come a knockin’ when the yacht is a rockin’!” Yes, the Great Barrier Reef pales compared to Billy’s tanned physique. We’re guessing this is why he nabbed a nomination for Most Promising Actor at the Chicago Film Critics Association Awards. Obviously, the Dead Calm star is dead sexy!
