Drop Dead Fred (1991)

After obtaining fame on the British boob tube with The Young Ones (1982-1984), Filthy Rich & Catflap (1987), Bottom (1991-1995) and Believe Nothing (2003), comedian Rik Mayall made the move to the big screen with the black comedy Drop Dead Fred (1991). After Elizabeth Cronin (Phoebe Cates) separates from her cheating hubby Charles Gretterson (Tim Matheson), she heads home to live with her nagging mom Polly (Marsha Mason). While staying in her old room, Elizabeth regresses into childhood and she soon conjures up her nasty and annoying imaginary friend Fred (Mayall). Once free, he begins to muck a lot of things up. As you can guess, Fred causes chaos and anarchy wherever he goes. The good news is he takes vengeance on all of the people who have mistreated Elizabeth in the past. In other words, look out Janie (Carrie Fisher), Mickey (Ron Eldard), Murray (Keith Charles), Nigel (Daniel Gerroll), Graggy (Tom Bethke), and Namby Pamby (Elizabeth Gray). Under the direction of Ate de Jong, this PG-13 pic includes Eleanor Mondale, an uncredited Bridget Fonda, and the fit frame on Michael Welker. While playing a waiter in a toga at a wine gala, the latter actor flashes his flesh after Fred undoes the dude’s duds. As such, we get to see Michael’s fit physique — from his gorgeous gams to his muscular back. If that’s not hot enough, Mr. Welker steams up the lens when he reveals his ravishing rear. Obviously, the wine waiter’s bold body comes from a very good year!
