Fantasm Comes Again (1977)

Fantasm Comes Again (1977) is a porn film from Australia that follows the structure of Fantasm (1976) but switches up the story. The first flick was all about a German psychiatrist (John Bluthal) walking viewers through vignettes of various sexual fantasies. This one revolves around young journalist Libbie (Angela Menzies-Wills) who is about to take over the “Dear Collette” sex advice column from grizzled reporter Harry (Clive Hearn). Before he hands over the reigns, Harry tries to show Libbie the ropes by reading some of the sexy letters with her that cover everything from sex in a library and sex in a pool, to a threesome on an elevator. It was the seventies, so you can expect all sorts of stache, bush, and bad humor. But gee, is there any throbbing man meat visible in an Australian porn movie? Throw another dink on the Barbie. There are plenty of mandanglers making appearances through what look like forests of man bush. Rick Cassidy shows his package as a gymnastics coach who offers a special kind of naked massage after a workout, while William Margold flashes his best stuff during a giant orgy scene alongside Bryant Rigby and a crossdressing Con Covert. Herb Layne unleashes his main vain when things get wild in an elevator. Going up!  Their bodies aren’t the sculpted slabs of granite that appear in today’s porn, but a man’s gotta do, who a man’s gotta do. We could go on and on about all the doing, but only one of these naked dudes is a true icon. John Holmes aka “Johnny Wad” aka the big dick that inspired Quentin Tarantino's "Like a Virgin" speech in Reservoir Dogs (1992) makes an appearance in a pool scene, but in one of the surprises of the decade, keeps his clothes on.  Maybe his prodigious peter couldn’t adjust to the time change! A shot of Holmes' iconic hog would've really made Fantasm Comes Again fantastic!
