Ferdinando and Carolina (1999)

Ferdinando and Carolina (1999) follows Italian King Ferdinando I of Naples played by Sergio Assisi toward the end of his life in 1820s. He tries to escape his coming death by fondly remembering his younger days when he was obliged to marry Mary Caroline of Austria played by Gabriella Pession in a political marriage: unexpectedly, they became happy lovers, until court divided them and history went a different way entirely.
