The Doom Generation (1995)

It’s hard to feel sorry for an entire age group when they’re already so busy feeling sorry for themselves. But it’s even harder to tear your eyes away from the visceral action and reactions that propel the narrative thrust of The Doom Generation (1995). Not to be confused with the podcast series Doom Generation, this crime comedy features a rough sex scene that is balanced out with an equally harsh castration. Needless to say, that’s no laughing matter. Under the pen and direction of Gregg Araki (who also serves as co-producer), the movie follows Red (Johnathan Schaech), White (James Duval), and Blue (Rose McGowan) as they embark on a transgressive road trip. Brutal banging (and we don’t mean fender-benders) occurs along the way. If learning about a plot’s conclusion prior to being given the details of its beginning causes you consternation, your head will spin when you watch this pic. Mr. Duval shows sack and seat when he hops in the tub with a worked-up Rose. Also, with a little help of your pause button, you can get a good glance at James’s half-erect lance! While watching a couple copulate, Mr. Schaech shows his nude booty and milks his manhood to completion. Afterwards, the pud-pulling Peeping Tom eats his protein puddle. Boner appétit! The movie includes Christopher Knight, Lauren Tewes, Parker Posey, Skinny Puppy, and Dewey Weber’s skin. The dude is nude except for a sock over his schlock, but he bares his bum. Move over Gen X, this is Gen Sex!
