Firestarter 2: Rekindled (2002)

Charlie McGee is all grown up in Firestarter 2: Rekindled (2002), the made for TV sequel to the successful 1984 film. There's no Stephen King novel to craft a screenplay from, and Drew Barrymore wasn't going to come back for a film released straight to the SyFy Channel, but that doesn't mean this one's not a worthy follow-up. In the film, Charlie (Marguerite Moreau) has moved on from seeing both of her parents murdered. In college, they were both members of an experiment that saw them dosed with a chemical that gave them telekinetic powers, and ultimately gave their kid the ability to start fires with her mind. Her parents were hunted by a government group that's believed to be gone, but when a young private eye (Danny Nucci) is tasked with finding all those college kids as part of a class action lawsuit, he sets out to track down Charlie. Of course, we'll find out the lawsuit thing is a total sham and the government, led by John Rainbird (Malcolm McDowell), is still trying to harness Charlie's pyrokinetic powers. Luckily, one of the college kids (Dennis Hopper) is going to help keep Charlie out of their hands! Usually, network TV movies are a vast wasteland for skinsational scenes, but this one had a little bit of hotness.  The always adorable former Titanic (1997) star Danny Nucci breaks the mold and fires us up with a brief, but blazing butt shot. In one scene and one scene only, Nucci strolls into the bathroom sans clothing. Along with his amazing abs, the upper half of his round rump bounces into view for a few seconds. Fire in the hole! Firestarter 2: Rekindled will turn even the straightest man into a hardcore flamer!
