A prequel to George Miller’s 2015 blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road that tells the back story of Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa, an officer in Immortan Joe’s army who turns against him to ferry the Wasteland ruler’s Five Wives to the safety of the Green Place. We see that Furiosa (first played by Alyla Browne and then grown into Anya Taylor-Joy) used to live in the Green Place, but was captured one day by a gang of bike-riding raiders. Her mother Mary (Charlee Fraser) pursues them and manages to kill them all except one, who presents Furiosa to his leader, Dementus (Chris Hemsworth). Mary sneaks into their camp and takes care of the last raider before he can reveal the Green Place’s location, but she herself is taken prisoner and eventually crucified. Dementus adopts Furiosa and then tries to take over the Citadel where Immortan Joe (Lachy Hulme) rules with his War Boys. Dementus fails, but then decides to take over Gas Town, compelling Immortan Joe to do business with him. He ends up passing Furiosa over to Joe, but when one of Joe’s hilariously named sons (Rictus Erectus and/or Scrotus) tries to assault her, she escapes and hides among the Citadel workers, pretending to be a teenage boy and helping to build a heavily armed supply tanker called the War Rig. When the rig is attacked by one of Dementus’s lieutenants, Furiosa forms a bond with the driver Praetorian Jack (Tom Burke), and the two resolve to run off together, but are ambushed by Dementus, taking him on for one final shot at revenge. The only thing more distracting than Chris Hemsworth’s fake schnoz is his forever-ripped torso, which makes two distinct appearances, one of them involving his poky pierced and chained nips. The awesome Aussie is an apocalyptic kink storm that’ll have you Furiosa-ly flogging your log!
