Howlin’ Refrain (2023)

Beating Christopher Nolan to the punch by three full years, the Australian flick Howlin' Refrain (2023) is based on Homer's The Odyssey, updating it to modern day. Outis (Aaron Kearney) has been in captivity for such a long time, he fears that his family has forgotten who he is and moved on without him. However, when a chance at escape presents itself, Outis takes that chance and finds himself on an epic journey to return home to the only people he's ever truly loved! While not as slavishly faithful to the material as most adaptations of this classic work, it also brings us some bare buns from leading man Aaron Kearney, which is absolutely worth Howlin' about!
