Im Rausch (2024)

The German made-for-television movie Im Rausch (2024) tells the story of Katja (Friederike Becht), a journalist who is having a crisis of conscience after one of her investigative articles is killed by the higher ups at her company. Quitting her job in protest only exacerbates Katja's drinking problem, in turn making her miserable around everyone and sinking further into depression and self-pity. And then along comes Eddi (Hans Löw), a fellow expat from the wagon (as it were) whose self-destructive impulses begin to drag Katja futher down with him! Look, we're willing to entertain the notion that it might be a bad idea to try and fix him, but one look at Hans' hot heinie when the pair goes skinny dipping gives us at least some idea of what we'd be working with!
