The son of an actor, he grabbed his first on-screen role at the age of 18, as Jørgen in the movie Bare Bea (2004), followed by the regular gig of Jacob in the TV series Skolen from 2004-2005. The role led to even bigger parts for the actor, including Johannes in Victoria (2013), and Hans in The Hidden Child (2013). On TV, he was cast as Laust Jensen in the Danish epic war series 1864, a series that had one of the biggest budgets in Danish television history at the time of its filming. American audiences may recognize him from another series, Lilyhammer, a Norway and US collab that aired on Netflix. You may also know Jakob from his 2020 role as Prince Iridian in another Netflix creation, The Letter for the King.
