It’s queer! It’s punk! It’s Luster (2002)! Under the pen and direction of Everett Lewis, this indie flick follows Jackson (Justin Herwick), a punky record store clerk with a penchant for skateboarding, poetry and partying. Since Jackson is handsome, he attracts the attention of Derek (Sean Thibodeau), a clean-cut dude who often hangs out at the shop. But it seems the wannabe poet also has a taste for bad boys. In fact, when he wakes up in the aftermath of a drunken orgy, Jackson quickly develops an intense crush on stereotypical bad boy Billy (Jonah Blechman). But it’s going to be hard to win over Billy, considering he’s involved with rock star Sonny Spike (Willie Garson). Things get a little more complicated when Jed (B. Wyatt), Jackson’s hunky cousin comes in from Iowa to do some naked photo shoots for Alyssa (Pamela Gidley). In an odd twist, Jackson wants to take a bite of the fruit from the family tree. We can’t tell you what happens next, but we will point you to the movie’s most revealing scenes. Mr. Wyatt touts his torso, butt, balls and dick 16 minutes into the pic and again at the 52-minute mark. If that’s not arousing enough, Mr. Herwick sheds his threads near the end of the flick. Suffice it to say, you know you’re nearing a climax when he exposes his abs, ass, sack, and shaft! In other words, be prepared to be more than flustered by the chiseled gents flashing their flesh in Luster!
