Police Academy (1984)

The first flick in a comedy franchise that would go on to have seven feature films, a TV show, and even a cartoon under its banner, Police Academy (1984) is a comedy about a group of young, raucous and incompetent cadets who enter the police academy in hopes of joining the force. In the film, there's a massive cop shortage in a nameless city so anybody that wants to become a cop has to be accepted into the academy. Carey Mahoney (Steve Guttenberg) is a low-level crook that gets told he needs to become a cop or get sent to jail, so he enters the academy alongside the bored but busty socialite Karen Thompson (Kim Cattrall), voice master Larvell Jones (Michael Winslow), the trigger happy rent-a-cop trying to become a real one Eugene Tackleberry (David Graf), man-mountain Moses Hightower (Bubba Smith), ladies' man George Martin (Andrew Rubin), and a bunch of other misfits. With all their personality quirks, they struggle to deal with the trainers who can't stand the ragtag crew and are begging for them to wash out, especially Lieutenant Thad Jarris (G.W. Bailey). Carey is your classic too cool for school character who will, of course, come to love his fellow trainees and do whatever it takes to make sure they graduate while pissing off Lieutenant Harris at every turn. The boys at this cop school will make you drool, especially the sexy Steve Guttenberg, who appears devilishly shirtless in this movie to show off his chest fuzz. Officer, we like the way you wear no shirt. This cad of a cadet is as hot as a man in uniform can get! Another LEO you'll want joining you on the down low, Michael Winslow follows his orders and is shirtless in a scene where he practices finger guns as part of a prank. Does he have a license to bare those lean arms? We'd sure like to make the stirring macaroni noises with him! Police Academy will have you looking to get the big O from 5-0!
