Reclaim (2014)

Steven and Shannon (Ryan Phillippe and Rachelle Lefevre) are a typical couple that want to start a family. But when Shannon gets in a horrific car accident, she becomes unable to conceive. Determined to become parents, they contact a Dominican Republic-based adoption agency run by Reigert (Jacki Weaver), who introduces them to Nina (Briana Roy), a Haitian that became orphaned due to an earthquake in Haiti. As all the red tape starts to clear up, and the adoption well-on the way to being finalized, Reigert and Nina disappear. When the soon-to-be parents attempt to contact the adoption agency, they quickly discover they’ve been scammed. Steven and Shannon refuse to give up, and they go on a search that leads them to a trio of ruthless child traffickers led by Benjamin (John Cusack). It’s only a matter of time before Benjamin and his buddies take them hostage in hopes of getting a substantial payday. The only payday we receive is when we get a long look at Ryan Phillippe hanging out on the beach with his shirt off. If only we could adopt Ryan!
