In October of 2001 Bill Lawrence, the comedic genius behind stuff like Spin City and Ted Lasso set his sights on the medical industry with the NBC hospital hootenanny Scrubs. Beloved by audiences, critics, and actual doctors and nurses alike, the show ran for 178 episodes between 2001 and 2010. Mixing zany fantasy sequences, heartfelt moments, and surprisingly realistic portrayals of illnesses and their treatments, the show followed and was narrated by Dr. John "J.D." Dorian (Zach Braff), a quirky but kind-hearted doctor at Sacred Heart Hospital who is prone to daydreaming and fantasizing about absurdist things. His best friend is surgeon Christopher Turk (Donald Faison), a cool guy dating the hospital's head nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes). His on again off again lover is the uptight Dr. Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke), but the real person J.D. is obsessed with pleasing is his curmudgeonly mentor Perry Cox (John C. McGinley). Throw in a strangely wise janitor (Neil Flynn) who loathes J.D. for no good reason, and all sorts of wacky patients and Scrubs had enough comic material to last a decade! Which explains why it almost did! Now, doctors don't need to be especially handsome to land whoever they want, especially when they're funny, so it's almost unfair that our lifesaving young physicians were so drop dead gorgeous. You’ll want to get a physical when you see all the man meat hiding in Sacred Heart! Funnyman Zach Braff bares his young, lean bod when he strips down to his undies in season 1, episode 24 to look in the mirror. Suddenly, we had some strange swelling in our trouser snake we'd like him to take care of! But if you like them more muscular, John C. McGinley shows off the abs that just won’t quit in the same episode while lounging on the couch and waiting for his woman! Do doctors give sponge baths, because we could use a scrub down! Sorry TLC, we very much want the dudes from Scrubs
