It’s hard to tell what a film is about if the title is just the name of a character. Rebecca (1940) and Hanna (2011) are thrillers. Oliver! (1968) and Annie (1982) are musicals about orphans. Carrie (1976) and Hannibal (2001) are horror flicks. Rocky (1976) and Rudy (1993) are sports movies. Arthur (1981) and Casanova (2005) are romantic comedies. Ali (2001), Amelia (2009), Lincoln (2012), and Harriet (2019) are biopics. And Carol (2015) is a lesbian drama while Sebastian (2017) is about homosexual love. Not to be confused with the skinternational flick Sebastian (2024), this Canadian pic wouldn’t be made if it weren’t for James Fanizza. Not only does he star in the movie, Mr. Fanizza serves as the film’s writer, director and co-producer. Needless to say, he wears a lot of hats. But that doesn’t mean he can’t remove them along with his clothing. Thanks to his skintastic portrayal of Alex, a shirtless James can be seen in his bulging briefs. But before we rump the bun, we mean jump the gun, let’s talk a little about the slot, we mean plot. The action kicks in when Alex (Fanizza) and the titular Sebastian (Alex House) meet one fateful evening and immediately fall in lust. Alas, their situation is complicated since Alex’s current boyfriend Nelson (Guifré Bantjes-Rafols) is Sebastian’s cousin. Don’t you just hate when that happens? Of course, we love ogling the topless bod on Alex when he struts his stuff in skintight skivvies. We want to move into Mr. House!
