Speak No Evil (2024)

Speak No Evil (2024) is 4/5 of a remake of the 2022 Danish film of the same name, borrowing the same basic premise before diverting from the original in the final twenty minutes. Mackenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy play Louise and Ben, an American couple vacationing with their young daughter Agnes (Alix West Lefler) in Italy when they meet Paddy (James McAvoy) and Ciara (Aisling Franciosi), also vacationing with their young son Ant (Dan Hough). The couples have such fun together that they decide to keep the good times going several weeks later by going to Paddy and Ciara's house in the secluded country. The once seemingly fun-loving couple begins to show a more sinister side once the more buttoned down Ben and Louise arrive, but their social niceties prevent them from seeing that they've been in serious danger since the moment they first met! Apart from a really uncomfortable scene where Ciara pretends to blow Paddy under the table at dinner, there's not much sexual content in the film, though James McAvoy does nicely bulge out his budgy smugglers when the two families go swimming!
