The Dictator (2012)

Gregarious goofball Sacha Baron Cohen goes fully scripted with a megalomaniacal new character in The Dictator (2012). Like previous anti-war black comedies — Charlie Chaplin’s The Great Dictator (1940) and Woody Allen’s Love and Death — this political satire revolves around a lookalike of the featured dictator. You see, General Admiral Aladeen (Cohen) rules over the North African nation of Wadiya, lives in a giant palace, and has enough cash to persuade Megan Fox (playing herself) to fly in for a late night boning. Unfortunately his premier, Tahir Mafraad (Ben Kingsley), is plotting to overthrow him, and a failed assassination attempt leaves Aladeen de-bearded and homeless on the streets of Manhattan. When the once mighty General crosses paths with Zoey (Anna Faris), a health food store owner, the unlikely couple teams up to improve her struggling business. Along the way, we encounter Angela Merkel (Anna Katarina), Edward Norton (as himself), a health inspector (Garry Shandling), Mr. Ogden (Chris Elliott), a news anchor (Chris Parnell), a pregnant woman (Kathryn Hahn), and Sacha’s skin! In one scene, he struts his stuff in a white T-shirt and bulging briefs. In another, he shows off his super hairy chest. Better yet, during a zany zip-line bit, Mr. Baron Cohen bares a merkin when he smashes into a window cock first. The sexy stunt includes a view of his huge (albeit prosthetic) peen. In other words, he teases us since we want to see the real thing. Needless to say, Sacha puts the dick in The Dictator!
