The Favourite (2018)

The Favourite (2018) is a dark comedy based loosely on England's sickly Queen Anne in the 1700s and her fervor for female companions. Olivia Colman plays the queen with Rachel Weisz as her longtime friend Sarah. By friend, we mean lesbian lover and person basically running the country, since Queen Anne has pretty much checked out. While the English are at war with France, Olivia spends her time playing with her pet bunnies and complaining about her ailments. Sarah's cousin Abigail (Emma Stone) is so down on her luck that she takes a gig as a lowly maid, only to get the queen's attention and twist these three into a love triangle. Abigail marries a rich dude (Joe Alwyn) and tries to pressure Anne into doing some stuff that Sarah disapproves of. Will Anne stand by her longtime sidepiece or is she too in love with the younger woman to see through her schemes? While the ladies are busy with all of that, Callum Lewin is having a blast playing a naked jester in a wig that gets a kick out of people throwing rotten fruit at him. We don't see his junk because his hand is covering his cock, but we see everything else! That'll have you caressing your carrot! Another hottie is the shirtless Joe Alwyn, who tells Emma that he's "hard as a rock". His abs sure are, but that's not what he's talking about!
