The Parenting (2025)

Take a little Meet the Parents, throw in a little of Amityville Horror, and add a heaping helping of gay and you've got the MAX Original horror-comedy The Parenting (2025)! Josh (Brandon Flynn) and Rohan (Nik Dodani) have been dating for a while now and decide that it's finally time for their parents to meet, so they rent a house in the countryside to bring everyone together. There's Rohan's adoptive parents Liddy (Lisa Kudrow) and Cliff (Dean Norris) clash almost immediately with Josh's folks Sharon (Edie Falco) and Frank (Brian Cox), which isn't the only thing that might derail Rohan's plans to propose to Ryan. As it turns out, their rental house is haunted by the spirit of a 400 year old demon who will possess people in the house at will, which just reminded us to give you a friendly reminder to really vet your VRBOs people, google those addresses, check those police blotters, find things out! Brandon Flynn and Nik Dodani swap spit a couple of times in this flick, but they do so fully clothed each time, which is a bummer. What's not a bummer, however, is Brian Cox's bare bum, which we see when he appears fully nude in front of everyone in the house!
