The Stepford Wives (2004)

The Stepford Wives (2004) is a science fiction remake of the original twisted satire from the 1970s. Stepford is a place in which all of the women seem very perfect - as if they are the wives from 1950s sitcoms. Joanna Eberhart is played by Nicole Kidman who is the president of a TV network. She has a nervous breakdown, so she and her hubby decided to move away from New York City to Stepford for some peace and quiet. She becomes friends with a Jewish writer and they bond as they question what is going on with all of the housewives around them who see blissed out and brainless. They notice that the men in Stepford seem to belong to something called Stepford Men's Association and there is a secretive Stepford Day Spa. What do the men do when the women are not allowed into the Stepford Men's Association? You will have to watch to find out exactly what the secret is! The men are mostly clothed and boring in this movie - except for one. Tanoai Reed has a small part on a twisted reality TV show within the show. He plays a Pacific Islander hunk named Tonkiro who is the other option in a dating reality show in which an average Middle American woman has to choose between her husband and this hot shirtless hunk. She looks at the chiseled chest on Tanoai and knows absolutely what she has to do: go with the hottie with the unbelievable body! She does so, choosing Tanoai over her hubby. Sorry, guy. Maybe there's room for both?
