This is the Night (2021)

This is the Night (2021) is an R-rated film by writer and director James DeMonaco that is the ultimate Staten Island coming-of-age story to take place in the 1980s. You know - that competitive genre! A teenager in Staten Island takes on a quest in the summer of 1982 that winds up affecting his family and pulling them in for help. After Rocky is released, it becomes the biggest thing for Italian Americans in his community with all of the guys around him trying to be hardcore Rocky fans. He wants to tell a girl he loves her and he takes some inspiration from Rocky to become a tough guy who won't be afraid to tell his dream girl how he feels. Lucius Hoyos plays Anthony, our leading man, is joined by his pals Albie Lenza played by Chase Vacnin, and Dov played by River Alexander. The three of them go shirtless together when they enter his crush's Sweet 16 party to tell her how he feels. All three of them do this together, all shirtless, to make their point even more clear. We think? It works for us! Jonah Hauer-King plays Christian who gets down to his undies and bulges out. Finally, Vincent Ingrisano plays a gangster who winds up showing his ass when he dances drunk at a party as his belted pants shimmy down his backside. That's a crack attack! He is also shirtless and offering people to suck his tea. Hey, we'll do it! This is the Night we do it!
