My Favorite Martian (1999)

Loosely based on the 1960s sitcom of the same title, My Favorite Martian (1999) stars Jeff Daniels as Tim O’Hara, a struggling television news producer. After being fired from his job and dumped by his girlfriend (Elizabeth Hurley), Tim heads for home, depressed and dejected. During his drive, Tim witnesses and investigates the crash landing of a UFO. At the sight, Tim discovers a tiny spaceship and takes it with him. When he makes it home, the stranded Martian (Christopher Lloyd) is waiting for Tim inside his house. With the idea of cashing in on a big news story, the desperate newsman gets close to him. Christened Uncle Martin, the odd alien has difficulty adapting to his new planet but begins to bond with Tim, leading him to have a change of heart about making him a news sensation. The goofy duo eventually join forces and work together to prevent a crazy scientist (Wallace Shawn) from getting his hands on Uncle Martin. Within all the chaos and commotion, Tim finds love and the true meaning of life. Jeff Daniels loses his shirt, but his body double loses his pants and shows off a terrific ass that is out of this world!
