Trepalium (2016)

The dystopian television drama Trepalium takes place in a world where the amount of jobs available are severely disproportionate to the population. We’re introduced to a city that only has 20% employment, and in which a wall has been erected to separate the eternally jobless from the area where employment is still feasible. An uprising from the destitute people living in the jobless area, called the Zone, causes the government to create the Solidarity Job Act in which 10,000 unemployed people will be chosen for jobs in the City. The main character Izia sees this as an opportunity to finally earn the money required to give her and her son a better life.
