Two Drifters (2005)

The Portuguese drama Two Drifters (2005) has more twists and turns than a soap opera, but the tight, artfully conceived movie manages to still stay centered. Try to keep up with us here. Rui (Nuno Gil) is heartbroken after losing his partner Pedro (João Carreira) in a car crash. The two even had adorable matching rings with "two drifters" inscribed on them since "Moon River" was their couple's song. Aww. Pedro’s former neighbor Odete (Ana Cristina de Oliveira) goes bonkers when her and partner Alberto (Carloto Cotta) break up. At Pedro’s funeral, Odete flips out and steals a ring off of his cold dead finger, then insists that she’s actually carrying Pedro’s baby. Obviously, Rui's pretty sure that his gay lover wasn't knocking up any roller-skate wearing hotties, but he's still intrigued. As they spend some time together, Odete descends into madness while Rui tries to deal with his own sense of loss. Is Odete actually carrying Pedro's baby or is that total nonsense? With both desperate for companionship, does it even matter? There’s nothing confusing about the hot dudity here, as super hotties Gil and Cotta both go full frontal, with Gil even getting gay!
