Wonder Boys (2000)

Grady Tripp (Michael Douglas) is an English professor who used to be a Wonder Boy (2000). His first novel was a huge success, but his second is giving him a little trouble.  He’s been working on it for seven years and still can’t get it down from 2,600 pages.  His editor is impatient, his wife is leaving him, he’s gotten the dean pregnant and his tenant has a crush on him.  With all that going on, it’s no wonder the boy can’t get any work done.

This quirky character piece is almost devoid of skin, but there are a few wonderful boy skinppets to enjoy.  Tobey Maguire is one of Douglas’ students who gets involved in his life.  He and Robert Downey Jr. are romantically entangled.  In one scene they’re in bed and Downey is naked.  There is a hint of Bobby butt and nice chest views of both these boy wonders.
