A Blast (2014)

Before you see the acclaimed drama A Blast (2014) make sure you’re on a water resistant couch, or hell just put down a tarp, because you’re about to have an explosion of your own. The skin-filled flick tackles Greece’s financial crisis through one woman’s personal struggles. Faced with a crumbling marriage, genuinely terrible parents, three kids, and the responsibility of running the family store (which we later find is saddled with debt), Marie (Angeliki Papoulia) decides to get in her car and leave her past behind. Through a series of disorienting flashbacks we learn about Marie’s life, which is indicative of others who must brave Greece’s woes. A big part of her life, and our personal favorite character, is husband Yanni (Vassilis Doganis).  The Godlike hottie is away at sea for most of the time, and the only action Marie gets is when he docks for a short time. While we don’t condone Yanni’s infidelities, we do appreciate that he decides to blow and bang a gorgeous man in a scene that's almost too sexy to handle! We’d like to get a blast from Vassilis!
