Asunder (1998)

The dramatic thriller Asunder (1998) stars Blair Underwood as Chance Williams, a man whose life unravels after his pregnant wife dies in a Ferris Wheel accident. Those damn Ferris Wheels are sneaky dangerous! Depressed and lonely, Chance moves in with his best friend Michael Hubbs (Michael Beach) and his wife Lauren (Debbi Morgan), with whom he has a brief affair. Michael warned her about Chance's mysterious, dark past but he's just too hot for our horny housewife to care about any of that. Turn down a night with Blair Underwood? No Chance! When her husband starts to suspect things, Lauren realizes her mistake, calls the affair off and asks that Chance leaves her alone. But Chance is too far gone for that. He becomes obsessed with Lauren, to the point of wanting to take out his lifelong best friend. Maybe he can take him to the carnival for a Ferris Wheel ride? Critics hated this one, largely because they thought it was just a gender and race swapped Fatal Attraction (1987) ripoff. Whether that's true or not doesn't really matter, since the whole reason to watch the movie is for the skin. Speaking of things, we'd rather ride than a Ferris Wheel, Blair Underwood becomes so obsessed with Lauren that he stands naked in front of an enormous collage of photos of her. As he gives the wall of photos a hug, we see his black buns lit by the candlelight. Mr. Man sure wished Blair was obsessed with him like that! In all his dreams, he's under Blair's wood!
