Boy Meets Boy (2021)

Eternal party boy Harry (Matthew J. Morrison) meets Johannes (Alexandros Koutsoulis) at a club in Berlin and what starts off as just a potential quick hook-up turns into a whole day of conversational banter while traversing the city (a la Richard Linklater’s Before Trilogy) as Johannes helps Harry find a way to print out his boarding pass for his flight home to the U.K. Directed by Daniel Sanchez Lopez from a script he wrote with Hannah Renton, Boy Meets Boy tells the story of two people with contrasting lives and values who force each one to confront their own truths. But the movie comes full circle, beginning with a heavy make out session at the club and ending with the two finally undressing each other and ending up in bed together, though obscured by the bedsheet, sharing a passionate moment before Harry slips away.
