Calvaire (2005)

One of the seminal works of the horror movement in France known as the New French Extremity, Calvaire (2005) pushes boundaries and buttons from beginning to end. Laurent Lucas stars as Marc, a man eking out a living as a traveling performer and living out of his van. When the van breaks down in a remote rural region, Marc is introduced to an innkeeper named Mr. Bartel (Jackie Berroyer) who offers to repair Marc's van free of charge on the condition that he stay at the inn and not go exploring the town. Naturally he does and all hell is unleashed soon after in one of the most singularly frightening and unforgettable films you'll ever see! The only bummer is the lack of male nudity, though leading man Laurent Lucas does go shirtless a few times!
