Dragonslayer (1981)

The sword and sorcerer movement of the early 80s produced a ton of duds and a handful of legit classics. Dragonslayer (1981) lands somewhere toward the better end of that spectrum, starring future Ghostbusters 2 and Ally McBeal star Peter MacNicol as Galen Bradwarden, the young apprentice of a slain wizard who is selected to slay a dragon terrorizing the kingdom of Urland. Along the way, he learns about true strength and courage, and even has some time to learn a thing or two about love when he becomes smitten with Valerian (Caitlin Clarke), a female member of his expedition team. The two even make time for a skinny dipping rendezvous, with Peter MacNicol baring his ass when he strips down to go swimming!
