Gloria (2014)

Gloria (2014) tells the real-life story of Mexican rocker Gloria Trevi, fondly (or not so fondly) known as the "Mexican Madonna." When the titular star was only 16, she first auditioned for the renowned producer Sergio Andrade (played by Marco Pérez). Though he initially put her in a pop band with three other girls, he soon realized her solo potential and made her a massive star on her own. This super sexual and controversial woman soon became an icon, frequently pulling dudes up on stage and stripping them down to their skivvies (we approve). Her immediate stardom all came crashing down, though, when the public realized what she and her doting yet diabolical manager had been up to behind the scenes. It turns out Andrade was a complete skeezeball who promised underage girls stardom if they joined his exclusive "boarding school," which was really an abusive sex cult. Not only did he sleep with all the underage girls (sometimes all at once), but he also married one when she was just 15.
