Hellraiser (1987)

Based on his book The Hellbound Heart, Clive Barker brought one of the undisputed icons of horror cinema to the screen in Hellraiser (1987)! Andrew Robinson and Claire Higgins star as married couple Larry and Julia, who have just inherited the house of Larry's brother Frank (Sean Chapman). Frank went missing and was presumed dead after he purchased an interesting puzzle box which unleashed a group of demons known as Cenobites, led by Pinhead (Doug Bradley). However, Frank's soul is still in the house and he convinces his ex-lover Julia to help him reconstitute into human form by bringing him unsuspecting souls he can give to the Cenobites! What could possibly go wrong? Barker knows that horror movies need nudity to sell, but as a gay man, he decided to gift us with some male nudity, a fairly rare occurrence in the 80s! Sean Chapman bares all while fooling around in bed with Claire Higgins and it looks like Pinhead was right, he did have such sights to show us!
