Lose My Self (2014)

Maria Schrader stars as Lena, a feminist academic in the amnesiac drama Lose My Self (2014). Lena’s life drastically changes when she falls ill to a bout of meningitis, ultimately causing her to lose portions of her memory. Life at home is difficult, but her doting husband Tore (Johannes Krisch) does the best he can to normalize the situation. Oddly enough, post-diagnosis, Lena suddenly develops a liking for pink, sparkly clothing, she begins to have difficulty gauging the tone of a conversation, and she simply loses the ability to interact with humans. Tore reaches his final straw when a flirtatious Lena puts the moves on a dude (Ronald Zehrfeld) at a church, leading her to staring down the head of Ronald Zehrfeld’s erect rod. A hard dick is always the cure for everything!
